Neil F. Linquist Funeral services for Neil F. Linquist, 17, will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2005 at Valley Evangelical Free Church, 4343 Fuller Road in West Des Moines. Cremation will follow his service. Neil was born in Des Moines, Iowa on June 24,1988 and took his own life on September 22, 2005. He was a Junior at Valley High School and was an academic honor student, excelling in math and science. Neil had very diverse interests and talents including rockclimbing, welding and woodworking. He will be missed by his parents, Dr. Phillip and Janis Linquist of Urbandale, Iowa; brothers, Dr. Clayton (Joy) Linquist of Urbandale, Iowa and Andy (Lisa) Linquist of Chicago, Illinois; sister, Stephanie Bitting and her fiance, Tony Heim of Waukee, Iowa; grandparents, Mr & Mrs. F. F. Francis of Ft. Madison, Iowa; and his five nephews, Payton, Alexander, Allen, Clint, and Jackson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glen and Hazel Linquist. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, September 25, 2005 at Westchester Evangelical Free Church, 4919 Aurora Ave. in Des Moines.
