Mary R. Zimmerman Mary R. Zimmerman, 94, died July 20, 2005 in Des Moines. She was born in Homer, Michigan and spent most of her life in Kansas. Mary moved to Des Moines in 1990 and was an active member of Union Park United Methodist Church. She was a past Worthy Matron of Order of the Eastern Star in Topeka and volunteered her time in various organizations. She will be missed by her daughter, Dolores "Dee" and her husband, Howard Wayne Deay of Des Moines; her son, James E. and his wife, Martha Zimmerman of Topeka, KS; four grandchildren, Michael D. and wife, Anissa Deay of Des Moines, Stephen W. Deay of Des Moines, James F. and wife, Diane Zimmerman of Topeka and Janis and husband, Alex Escandon of Albuquerque, NM; five great-grandchildren, Keelie, Sara, Andrew, Abby and Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence. According to Mary's wishes she was cremated and no services are planned. Memorial contributions suggested to her church. |
