Marilyn Harrison passed peacefully into God’s arms on Monday, December 26, 2005. A memorial service celebrating Marilyn’s life will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2006 in Porterville, California.

Marilyn was born on June 5, 1937 in Missoula, Montana. She married her handsome Marine in 1955 and they settled in California raising five children, retiring to Ankeny, Iowa in 2003.

Marilyn’s love of life and sense of humor will be missed by her devoted husband of 51 years, Hank Harrison of Ankeny and their five children, Helen (Tom) Rush of Norwalk, Debbie (Misty) Harrison of Porterville, California, Gretchen (Larry) Young of Mesa, Arizona, Heidi (Bob) White of Porterville and William Harrison of Porterville. She is also survived by sisters, Delia McCartie, Vida Hatfield and brother, Wesley Beach of California; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was a wonderful lady, filled with wit, charm, graciousness and love. Marilyn will be dearly missed by the people she touched all over the world. She never met a stranger and deeply loved life, family and friends. We will honor her legacy by finding the joy in the little things and filling each day with love and laughter.
