Keith Jung Keith Howard Jung, 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 19, 2005. Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home, Tonini Chapel on Friday, July 22 from 3 to 9 p.m., Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthonys Catholic Church on July 23 with burial in Glendale Cemetery. Keith was born on July 28, 1932, in Kokomo, IN. He will be missed by his wife, Mary (Sergio) Jung; daughter, Georgette (Dennis) Potter; son, Mark Jung, both of Des Moines; twin brother, Kenneth, of Grand Rapids, MI; two grandchildren, Brian (Becky) Potter of Newburgh, IN and Melissa (Ken) Putman of Des Moines; five great-grandchildren, Nick White, Amanda Potter, Taylor White, Daniel Potter, and Christian Potter; and two step great-grandchildren, Landrea Putman, and Samantha Putman. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister. Keith and his family moved to Argos, IN where he was a star baseball player for the Argos Dragons. He joined the Air Force with his twin brother, Kenneth in 1953. In 1959, Keith moved to Des Moines where he met his wife of 44 years, Mary. Keith joined the Billizzi MacRae American Legion, where he served twice as commander. He was in sales before retiring. His passions were cooking, gardening, carpentry, and hunting; but the greatest joy of his life was his family. Keith was a kind and gentle man who gave so much of himself, not only to his family, but friends, neighbors, and acquaintances. Contributions may be be made to the Keith Jung Memorial Fund. |
