Jane Catherine LaPree, 73, passed away at Mercy Medical Center on Saturday, October 15, 2005. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 20, 2005, at 10:30 A.M., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Monsignor Michael Hess presiding. 

Catherine was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, but had been living in Clive since 1975. She was the co-owner of Viking Windows with her husband Wayne. The most important thing to Jane was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed tending to her rose garden, reading and watching sporting events, but she especially loved following her favorite team, the Chicago Cubs.

Jane is survived by her four sons; Bruce (Sharon) LaPree, Mark LaPree, Todd LaPree, all of Houston, TX; Christopher LaPree, Denver, CO; three daughters; Dawn (Doug) Bailey, Houston, TX; Rene LaPree, Windsor Heights, IA; Lisa (Jim) Lewis, Grimes, IA; Sister-in-law, Marilyn LaPree, Rochester, MN; her niece, Sandy Latham, Guyman, OK; and her 14 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Wayne in 2002, her mother-in-law, Mabel G. LaPree, parents, Raymond and Florence Born, and a sister, Blanche McDaniel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Iowa Arthritis Foundation.

Following her inurnment at Resthaven Cemetery, all are invited back to the church for a time of food and fellowship.
