James G. Engelhardt, 54, died December 25, 2005 at his home of cancer. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2005, at Lutheran Church of Hope, 925 Jordan Creek Parkway, West Des Moines, Iowa. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of Hope Chapel.

Jim was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 13, 1951. Jim was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He had lived in West Des Moines for the last 7 and a half years. He was employed by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and had also worked for Amerin and MGIC. Jim was a member of Lutheran Church of Hope and enjoyed skiing, fishing, gourmet cooking and riding his motorcycle.

He will be missed by his wife, Suzanne; son, C.J.; daughters, Maggie and Annie, all of West Des Moines; father, Wilbur Engelhardt and sister, Jane (Ron) Fowler, both of New Carlisle, Ohio; brothers, William of Franklin, Wisconsin and Robert (Linda) of Waupon, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Engelhardt.
