George B. Samuelson
George was born in Des Moines and had lived most of his life here with West Des Moines being home for the last 27 years. He was a World War II Army veteran. He retired after 38 years at John Deere Des Moines Works. He will be missed by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Velda of West Des Moines; son, David (Marcia) Samuelson of West Des Moines; daughters, Georgia (Ken) Campbell of Lorimor, IA and Mary (Roger) Hollingsworth of Des Moines; his six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Veterans Home in Marshalltown. |
George B. Samuelson, 83, died Thursday at the Veterans Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be held Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home with a 7 p.m. vigil service. Cremation will follow, and private burial services will be at a later date.
