Elizabeth Conner Elizabeth Ann Conner died peacefully at home with her family by her side August 1, 2005. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church 10 a.m. Friday, August 5. Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday, August 4 at Brooks Funeral Care Tonini Chapel with the Rosary service beginning at 7 p.m. Elizabeth was born November 2, 1931 in Des Moines. She retired in 1996 after serving as offi ce manager for 25 years at the Equitable of the U.S. Agri-Business Division. She was a lifelong member of St. Anthony’s Parish and active in the Twelve Star Club. She enjoyed cooking for her family and traveling. Elizabeth’s family was the most important part of her life. Elizabeth was united in marriage for 51 years to her beloved husband, Robert D. Conner on April 18, 1954. She will be missed by Robert; her three children, Dr. Robert D. (Susan) Conner, Jr. of Des Moines, Julie A. (Steven) Heideman of Des Moines and Stephen R. Conner of L.A., California; seven grandchildren, Robert D., III, Jennifer, Melissa, Jonathan, David, Megan and Michael; two brothers, Tony and John Ausilio. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Conchetta Ausilio; a sister, Mary Bonanno; a brother, Frank Ausilio; and a granddaughter, Emily Conner. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Anthony’s Foundation or Hospice of Central Iowa in her memory. |
