Delbert (Del) Gentner, 76, was born February 22, 1929 in Lansing, MI and went home to be with the Lord November 5, 2005 in Ames. His wish was to be cremated and a memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2005 at Brooks Funeral Care, 7975 University Blvd in Clive. Family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Del worked for and retired from Massey Ferguson after 35 years of service. His employment took Del and his family to many different states. Del was a warranty specialist for Massey and had many, many dear friends. He was a member of the quarter Century Club and the Collectors Club.

Del spent a lot of years in Michigan. He was a 1947 graduate of Eastern High School in Lansing, MI., he then went to work and school at Michigan State University in the Agricultural Sciences Division. MSU continued to be near and dear to Del's heart.

He will be missed by his daughters, Anne Marie (Michael) Wildern of Sabastian, FL, Linda (Michael) Burchett of Lansing, MI and Cheryl (Michael) Gardner of Fowlerville, MI; his son, Bryan (Ann) of Huxley; his six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations will be used according to the wishes of the family.
