Alla Smolyak, 68, died at home on December 30, 2005. Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at the Valley West Apartments Community Room.

Alla moved to West Des Moines in 2000 from Russia. She will be missed by sons, Yevgeny and Yuri; grandchildren, Stan, Ilya and Lena; and very special friend, Larry Heim. Alla was a blessing and had many friends in the Valley West Apartments.
