William Eakins William S. Eakins, 73, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at InTrust Taylor House. No services are planned. Family will receive friends at his home on Saturday, September 18, 2004. William was a Mason of 53 years belonging to Daylight Lodge. He resided in West Des Moines for 45 years and retired from Drake's Garage in 1994. He worked for eight years at All Star Vending Company and for 1 1/2 years as a bus driver for West Des Moines Schools. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janice; three sons, Wm. S. Jr., Jerry (Debi) and James (Tammy); four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four great-stepgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chet and Juanita Eakins; brother, Bob Eakins; and sister, Mary Lou Malloy. Memorial contributions may be made to his family. |
