Richard Wilson

Richard Wilson, 82, died from complications of a stroke on November 27, 2004 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services are planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 30 at First Assembly of God with a private burial of his cremains at a later date.

Richard was a Lieutenant with the U.S Air Corps and was a pilot in WWII. After serving with the Air Corps, Richard later became an executive with Wilson Company where he later retired.

He attended First Assembly of God, was a member of the Masonic Bodies and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Richard is survived by his wife, Betty Carey Wilson of West Des Moines; son, Doug Wilson of Louisville, KY; daughter, Pam Jess of Des Moines; stepson, Jack Reynolds of Danbury, CT; stepdaughter, Jodi Pierce of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren; and four sisters, Mildred Goodner of Tallahassee, FL, Mabel Bussard of Vancouver, WA, Marion Jorgensen of Hampton, IA, and Marjorie Webster of Bergenfield, NJ. Richard was preceded in death by his first wife, Bette, his parents, three brothers and one sister.

Family will greet friends following the service at the church. Memorials can be made to First Assembly of God.
