Ruth Larsen
Ruth graduated from East High School in Des Moines and went on to further her education, attending Drake University. Ruth was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, the Des Moines Golf and Country Club, Madrigal Music Club, the Iowa Federation of Music Clubs and the West Des Moines Womens Club. Ruth is survived by two daughters, Carol Bell and her husband, Pete of Huntington Beach, California, and Debbie Johnson and her husband, Frank of Spirit Lake, Iowa; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great- great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers; and six sisters. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, November 8 at Brooks Funeral Care-University Chapel in Clive, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines. |
Ruth
M. Larsen, 95, formerly of Des Moines, passed away on Wednesday, November
3, 2004 at Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake. She was born on March
3, 1909 in Des Moines, to Claus and Emma (Ostberg) Mellin. Ruth was
united in marriage to Norbert W. Larsen on March 16, 1940 in Des Moines.
