John "Henry" Ellis

John "Henry" Ellis, 21, died November 10, 2004 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 13 at Brooks Funeral Care-Tonini Chapel, with burial at Ankeny Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Henry was born in Des Moines, raised in Ankeny and moved to Indianola one year ago. He loved spending time with his Dad, Uncle Don, Uncle Ivan and the rest of his family and friends, but his best buddy was his son, Dakota.

Henry was a professional horse trainer and ferrier and enjoyed all outdoor activities. He was also a member of the Iowa Rockin Foxtrotters Club. Henry, along with his wife, Haley, enjoyed horse riding with club members, friends and family. He will be missed by all.

Henry is survived by his wife, Haley K. (Davis) Ellis and son, Dakota Ellis of Indianola; father, John Ray Ellis of Des Moines; mother and stepfather, Brenda (Schmitt) and Jon Hedgecock of Ankeny; sister, Jessica Ellis of Ankeny; brother, Trey Hedgecock of Ankeny; grandparents, Vizma Schmitt of Ankeny, George Archer of Des Moines, Royal and Irene Hedgecock of West Des Moines and Carol Stewart of Des Moines; and parents-in-law, Laura and Tom Hudson of Ankeny and Scott and Therese Davis of Panora.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a fund will be established for Dakota.
