Jack Edwards Jack Newman Edwards, 71, passed away October 30, 2004 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa. Jack was born in Stigler, OK on October 28, 1933. He was the son of Ellis and Jessie Edwards. He was raised in Bartlesville, OK, graduated from College High in 1951 and attended Oklahoma State University. He was an Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. Jack was an employee of Williams and Marathon Pipelines for 30 years. After retirement, he became the manager of True Value at 48th & University in Des Moines and later worked with Ace Hardware stores. Jack is survived by his wife, Shelda (Shelly); sons, Blake (Shelly) of Urbandale, Scott (Kathy) of Baudette, MN, Bryan (Ellen) of St. Paul, MN; 3 grandchildren, Lyndsay, Jacqueline and Daniel and his sister, C.K. Lowe of Bartlesville, OK. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Cassidy. Per Jack's wishes, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa or Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. |
