He is survived by his wife, Beth; brother, Bill Fleming (Kathleen Beebout-Fleming) of Des Moines; sister, Mary Shultz (Loren) of Portland, OR; niece, Jennifer Fleming of West Point, NY; nephews, Jeff Fleming (Kit) of Houston, TX, Jim Fleming of Atlanta, GA, Dan Fleming of Sarasota, FL, Chris Van Doren of Ankeny, Kurt Van Doren of Chico, CA, and Rob Van Doren of Des Moines; three stepsons and one stepdaughter; eleven step-grandchildren; and numerous step-nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Brooks Funeral Care is in charge of cremation. The family will receive friends at Dave and Beth's home at 103 North 13th Ave. in Marshalltown. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at the Malloy Leisure Resource Center at the Iowa Veterans' Home. Frogfur was fond of referring to Beth's flowers as "weeds" and was a great proponent of avoiding lawn work by suggesting all yards should be paved and painted green, thus, memorial contributions are suggested in lieu of flowers. |
