Bertha Lamborn Bertha Alvina Lamborn, residing at the Adel Acres Care Facility in Adel, IA left this life on Tuesday, October 5, 2004. Services will be 3 p.m. Friday, October 8 at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids, IA. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Cedar Memorial. Sandwiches and refreshments will be provided after the service. Bertha was born in Winneshiek County, IA on November 24, 1914 and spent her childhood in Granger, MN. She married Earl "Jim" William Lamborn on July 27, 1946. They resided most of their lives in Marion, IA, where Bertha was a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Her husband, Earl; sister, Gladys Pacheco; and brothers, Alfred Hass, Leonard Hass and Harry Hass preceded Bertha in death. She will be missed by her two daughters, Linda L. (Dick) Clous of Alto, MI, and Judy M. (Andrew) Grovo of Waukee, IA; two grandchildren, Mandra L. Grovo of Waukee, IA, and Curtis L. (Sara) Grovo of West Des Moines, IA; sisters, Linda (Don) Falck of Waterloo, IA, and Josephine Hass of Minnesota; and brother, Ervin (Ermalee) Hass of Garden Grove, CA. |
