Ardith Marie Teagarden Snook died November 17, 2004 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa. At her request, her body has been donated to Des Moines University and a memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2004 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Ardith was born in Boone County, Iowa and lived in Ames and West Des Moines for the last 18 years. She was a homemaker and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Third Order of St. Francis. She enjoyed needlework, crocheting, sewing and reading.

She will be missed by her seven children, Joann Faber of Johnston, Tim (Mary Jane), James (Barb) of Florida, Dennis (Pauline) of Washington, Bill (Kim) of Dubuque, Arlene (Jim) Holmes of South Dakota and Kay (Dennis) Modde of Des Moines; grandchildren 14; great-grandchildren nine, plus two anticipated; and sisters, Dorothy Gee of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Anita Blanshan of Yakima, WA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Burke Snook; parents, Arthur and Agnes Teagarden; sister, Wilma Baldridge; and twin sister, Arlena.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Catherine of Sienna Student Center at Drake University, 1150 28th Street, Des Moines, Iowa 50311.
